Hi I'm Jet
It all started with a simple sketch.
For a long time, I felt pretty lost and unsure of what direction I was supposed to take in life, but art was always the one thing that consistently stayed with me. It started as a hobby, something I naturally gravitated toward no matter what else was going on around me.
After attending art school, I struggled hard trying to break into the studio industry. Like a lot of artists, I sent portfolios around, chased opportunities, second guessed myself constantly, and honestly just felt frustrated trying to find my place in everything.
Out of equal parts curiosity and desperation, I started a YouTube channel.
Funny enough, TheJettyJetShow was never even supposed to be an art channel. The name came from my original idea of making skits, random videos, and vlogs. But somehow I only ended up posting art tutorials, drawings, and process videos… and little by little, the channel slowly grew into an art community.
That momentum eventually pushed me toward attending anime and comic conventions, selling prints, meeting people, taking commissions, and somehow turning this weird little art journey into a real career.
As bizarre as it sounds, we actually made this art thing work.
Now years later, I’m still here drawing late into the night, still chasing deadlines, still attending conventions, still trying to improve, and still incredibly grateful there are people out there who connect with the work enough to support it.
So genuinely, thank you.
Thank you for supporting independent artists. Thank you for your patience during the chaotic backlog periods. Thank you for letting me continue doing the thing I loved as a kid.
I’m honestly still mostly lazy, sleepy, overwhelmed, and drawing at the last minute 😭 but I’ll keep doing my best.
Let’s keep the good times rolling as long as possible.
Cheers,
Jet
